Wyspiański's works in the collections of the National Museum in Warsaw

The collection of works by Wyspiański in the National Museum in Warsaw comprises about one hundred items. Among which: 6 oil paintings, about 50 pastels, about 40 watercolours, drawings, pencil and coloured pencil sketches, three sketchbooks, as well as a set of manuscripts, correspondence and iconographic material. In a separate cabinet within the Gallery of Polish Painting – due to the well known location problems – we are permanently exposing in, only about 20 most outstanding artist’s works made in the technique of pastel (among which Sheaves, Self-portrait against drooping leaves, Materhood, five landscapes from the series View of Kościuszko Mound from a window in the artist's studio). The exhibition will offer the opportunity to show you the items so far unexposed.
